MW4 Best Weapons & Loadouts: Choosing a Starting Kit

An editorial shortlist based on official unlocks, weapon roles and a documented five-part M4 build.

Match the weapon to the job

For an early assault-rifle option, consider Han 86 at level 4. The M4 at level 14 offers another assault-rifle platform. ISO Nightshade at level 4 is a full-auto SMG; its listed 923 RPM does not by itself prove the fastest TTK. FiNN LMG has a source-listed 100-round magazine for a sustained-fire reference. These are role-based editorial choices, not a measured launch tier ranking.

Use a documented build

The official Inner Circuit M4 example uses Shortline Barrel, FTAC Dominion Muzzle, FSS Fireline Grip, SZ Prima-4 Dot Optic and ZLR ASP50 Stock. Try the limited compatibility builder to inspect that set and the Apex exclusions. A promotional blueprint is a documented example, not proof of the current competitive meta.

MP and DMZ have different costs

In MP, compare unlocks and sightlines. In DMZ, also consider purchase cost, backpack space, the manual you own and whether you can afford losing the kit. Compare M4 and Han 86, then verify damage and TTK in the current firing range before calling a weapon best at a particular distance.
