Practical field guide
MW4 Best Settings Guide: Tune with the Built-in Benchmark
Use verified PC controls and repeatable benchmark checks instead of an untested universal preset.

Establish a baseline
Use automatic hardware configuration as a starting point. Set the output resolution, choose a supported upscaler and note whether frame generation or ray tracing is active. The official options include DLSS 4.5, FSR Redstone, XeSS 3 and Filmic SMAA T2X. Support depends on hardware. This page is a tuning procedure, not site-tested FPS or sensitivity values.
View and image clarity
Enhanced FOV expands the PC edge view without changing the center FOV. Compare target size and peripheral visibility before settling on a preference. World Depth of Field and Weapon Depth of Field are independent; change them separately. Check sharpness, shadow visibility and screen-space effects in the same scene. HDR10+ requires an appropriate display setup.
Measure one change at a time
Run the built-in simulated Multiplayer benchmark. It reports FPS and CPU/GPU, ping and input-latency information with zone breakdowns. Repeat under the same configuration, alter one control, and compare both responsiveness and image quality. Keep input sensitivity and audio changes separate from graphics tests so you can identify what helped. Record device, resolution, mode, driver and upscaler state with any result you later share.
